Midwest Sprint Touring Series
MSTS set to invade Rocky, Park Jeff this weekend
The Property Solutions of America Midwest Sprint Touring Series will have its first double-header weekend of the 2019 season this Friday and Saturday.
Up first, the season opener at Rapid Speedway brings MSTS 360s into town for a special event also featuring USRA Stock Cars, B-Modifieds and Hobby Stocks plus the sportsmen division. MSTS has previously raced at Rapid Speedway 13 times. Lee Grosz, the defending series champion, has the most wins at the Rock Rapids, Iowa, speedway with four – three of those coming during 2018.
Saturday, MSTS joins with the Carpet Land Nebraska 360 Sprint Series presented by Malvern Bank at Park Jefferson Speedway. Ten MSTS sanctioned events have been completed at Park Jeff with Jack Dover - the driver with the most wins in MSTS history – taking the most trophies from Siouxland with six wins at Park Jefferson. A complete lineup of IMCA racing will also be on hand.
Friday’s event starts with 7 p.m. hot laps while Saturday will have cars hit the track at 6:15.
